The Santa Rosa area maintains the longest continuous stretch of protected beaches on the Gulf Coast.  Children will enjoy the lure of the Zoo Northwest Florida where more ethan 900 animals have a home.  The nearby Blackwater State Forest, with 190,00 acres of lush woodlands, makes for the larges forrest in all of Florida.  Santa Rosa is proud of its 40-mile seashore bike trail, and for those whom speed is of the essence, stock car racing is found at the Southern Raceway.
